Constructed and installed a 62″ wide metal embossing in Elk Grove Village, IL with speeds of 500 feet per minute and coil capacity of 40,000 lbs. for appliance embossing
Completed a 57,400 sq. ft. addition in Elk Grove Village, IL to provide additional warehousing and process requirements
Completed construction of Elk Grove Village plant #7 to house new coil coating line #18, capable of coating 62″ wide coils at 500 feet per minute, plant also houses MSC/Pre Finish Metals corporate offices and Elk Grove Village operations
Acquired the Middletown, OH coil coating facility from Armco Steel 60″ wide, 400 feet per minute line #15, and a 60″ slitter
Built a 12” wide, 100 feet per minute laboratory coating line at in Elk Grove Village for research and development of specialty paint systems, Polycore® materials, and powder coating technology
Retrofitted the 72″ Walbridge coil coating with high speed electroplating capability to meet emerging demands of the automotive industry, this 311,300 sf addition was designed to coat, or plate, or coat and plate in the same pass
Production rate reached 510,000 tons of coated steel annually
Major expansion with the opening of a 267,000 sq. ft. Plant in Walbridge, OH, this plant houses the largest capacity coil coating line in the world with 72″ wide 700 feet per minute
Expanded Elk Grove Village IL facility #2, moved line #2 from Plant 1 and converted into a two coat line and increased capacity
